BIOS:




Pamela L. Laskin is a lecturer in the English Department, where she directs the Poetry Outreach Center. Ms. Laskin’s poems have been published as well as four poetry chapbooks: DEAR HADES; IN A GLASS BALL; TILL DEATH DO US PART and TRICK OR TREAT. GRAND CENTRAL STATION, a full-length collection, was published in 2003, and since that time REMEMBERING FIREFLIES (Plain View Press); SECRETS OF SHEETS (Plain View Press); GHOSTS, GOBLINS, GODS AND GEODES (World Audience) and Van Gogh’s Ear (Cervena Barva Press) have been published. Publish America recently published a book of children’s poetry that she co-authored with Jeanette Adams, a well-known African American children’s poet, and also Elise Buchman, ANIMALS CRACKERS AND THEIR FRIENDS. Tudor Press published GETTING TO KNOW YOU, a YA novel, in 2003. Her published children’s books include A WISH UPON A STAR (Magination Press); HISTORICAL HEROIC HORSES (McGraw-Hill); MUSIC FROM THE HEART (Bantam) and THE BURIED TREASURE (McGraw-Hill). She is a member of Poets & Writers; The American Academy of Poets; The Poetry Society of America; and The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.




James McMenamin has read poetry on the open mic circuit for over a decade. He’s a member/facilitator of the N.Y. stories writing group held at City Lore, and a founding member of a monthly writing workshop held at the Hudson Park Branch library. His work has appeared in NOMAD’S CHOIR, AFTERWORD, and PERFORMANCE POETS ASSOC., among others. He is thrilled to be part of the BREVITAS family.
