Dark Fantasy--Love it, hate it or live it?

If you haven't noticed, fantasy has been growing darker....more gore, fewer happy endings, more characters killed off. Conventional wisdom is that audiences are demanding more ambiguity. So...how you YOU like your fantasy--light, dark or a little of both?

I like the stories a little bit on the dark side - more towards "real life".
