Any Experience Marketing to Libraries?

I am curious if anyone has experience with library sales and marketing. John Kremer says in his book that direct mail works with these groups. Anyone know the secrets?

Wow! You all have been tremendously helpful, and I hope other readers are getting a good dose as well. I sent out a few direct mail pieces this week, and will follow up on them to learn how this works. I'll report back. There's a host of good information here. More ideas welcome, and I will report back.
