This is a great looking site. Anther good use of free services on the Internet to promote your work. I would like to hear about your results with this website in the Free Book Marketing Forum if you are so inclined.

It is a great site! I'm #34 in Arts and Literature!
I joined Squidoo and posted a couple of lens. I haven't quite figured out how it works.
My lens is currently #22 in Arts and Literature but I've worked hard to achieve that ranking and I'm not yet sure if it has been worth the effort. The amount of exposure I am receiving seems small. I'll see how it goes.
Hi Shelagh,
Thanks for the info. I wondered the same. So many of these social networking sites can be real time drainers. I like this forum because it is very focused.

I'll go check your lens.

I have a lens up for the Great New Books blog at: I have done very little with it. Squidoo is a lens/portal site, where you can basically create free webpages for any site or product. The point it do drive traffic to the actual site, not necessarily the squidoo lens. That is why I have not worked too hard at it. It is one of the many ways to drive traffic to your site or product. If you don't have a site, then it is great and I would point all of my links that way. However, I use squidoo to point to my site, so I don't promote it very much.

Google loves squidoo, and often what happens is that the lens will outrank the actual website for which it is a lens of. For single products (such as one's book), it might not matter. But if you are wanting your site to rank higher, I would focus on getting squidoo to point there and act as another link builder.
