Hi there! I've seen many books that help a writer research historical times for fictional books; from colonial days in America, to Victorian days in Eurpope. Does anyone know of any books, magazines, websites, ect that focus on a much older time era? I'm looking for more information on the 3rd century. {Yeah, for a time in the late 200s} Any advice or ideas would be helpful!
Thanks!

I'm trying to gather information about the medieval period for a fictional work. I've found a few items by search engine. Have you tried typing in 3rd century? I also found a book on that period at the Amazon site. Good luck!

There´s a novel by GORE VIDAL with a name similar to JULIAN THE HERETIC EMPEROR OR APOSTATE or something and it is based on the third century roman culture from a philosophical and religious perspective. I read it. It is very good. So good that I am starting to read anything by GORE VIDAL.
