Dark Resurrection - A tale of vengeance and justice

Dark Resurrection relates the exploits of Jesus Christ, the vampire, and his bloodthirsty consort, Mary the Magdalene. Rising from the grave at the stroke of midnight on the Sunday following his execution, Jesus escapes from his tomb, bent on revenge. Bringing his female disciple Mary to the vampiric realm shortly thereafter, they set about slaughtering those who sent him to the cross. The couple first prey on Jesus' enemies, and then, due to the Christ's peculiar worldview, they prey upon criminals, with Jesus instructing his undead girlfriend that they would only take the "unjust".

Supporting characters appear, with Jesus befriending Decius - the Roman soldier that had nailed him to the cross. They afterward travel to Nazareth for a surprise visit to his parents, Joseph and Mary, who become part of the story. Leaving Judean Nazareth after Jesus learns that Roman soldiers are attempting to track he and the Magdalene, they travel with his parents to Anatolia. Once there, they and the vampiric pair start a new life at a small town called Tibernum, located in Roman Cappadocia on the Upper Euphrates.
