How to encourage those who face obstacles in writing

While I was in the U.S. this summer on my speaking tour, I had a number of people share with me how much they love to write but how difficult they find it. Obstacles ranging from writer's block, a lack of time, rejection, and the frustration of revision and more...I could offer them some encouragement. I’d love to hear what you think are some practical things a writer can do at any stage of his or her career to keep writing despite the obstacles.
