Title: Echoes From the Past:
A Young Man’s Search for Love and Identity
By: Moboni Lewis
ISBN #978-1-62676-901-4
A CBM Book Review
9.9 out of 10.0 stars
.
Echoes From the Past: A Young Man’s Search for Love and Identity by Moboni Lewis reflects life’s paths through a Christian fiction novel based upon the scripture verse in Genesis 50:20 (paraphrased), “What the enemy meant for evil, the Lord turned around for good.”
.
Offering readers hope in the Lord, the author presents a mixture of intrigue, true life tragedies of domestic violence and betrayal wrapped into the life and mystery of a fast-paced plot. Readers come to understand that Echoes from the past may sometimes overshadow, but with the Lord’s help, He can work all things together for good. (Romans 8:28)
.
Henry Doe finds new beginnings after being abandoned by his birth father, and sent to live with his aunt at the age of 7. Years later, after making some bad choices, Henry finds himself judged by some of the town church folk and soon becomes homeless. Bitterness overtakes him, and a life of crime and gangs suddenly looks appealing. Within this story, Henry eventually comes to his senses, finds love and identity in a new beginning in a marriage and ministry. But not before a slew of persecutions, false accusations and even a prison sentence turns his new life upside down – except for one thing – God’s hand upon his life.
.
Despite Henry’s past, this book sheds light on the hope that is available in the Lord and in His ways. The author helps others understand that the Lord does in fact work all things out for our good.
.
This book comes highly recommended to dads, sons and fathers, displaying how rejection, violence and selfish ways take their tolls upon families. With that in mind, the author writes to all the Henry Does out there who have been betrayed, rejected and mistreated by family and the church, encouraging them to find a new life in the Lord and His ways. A great read!
.
MoBoni Lewis is a wife and mother and loves to write! She resides in the United Kingdom with her family.

Hamilton Saves the Fourth of July
(The Jenny Adventures Series 3)
By: Tawney Anderson
A CBM Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars
.
Hamilton Saves the Fourth of July by Tawney Anderson shares the adventures of Jenny and farm life, making a fun read for children (and adults alike), bringing animals, nature and humans together – As the third book of the series of The Jenny Adventures, Jenny lives on the farm with her parents, and a cast of unforgettable farm animals. Jenny has a unique bond with these animals as they have saved her family on many occasions and vice versa.
.
It’s almost the 4th of July and Jenny wants to help the animals understand why we have the 4th of July, and that even though the fireworks scare the animals because they are so loud, she explains from a book how the United States came to be. This story will keep children (and adults) captivated by the funny antics of the animals, the cast of characters around the farm, and the fun, adventure and trials along the way, as they discover a little hummingbird named Hamilton who saves the day!
.
Fun animal facts add to this funny, inspiring and heart-warming children’s book. This is one book you will want to keep in your library for generations to come. Entertaining and witty, the author teaches our little ones the importance of Christian values, adding to the book an inspiration to be all that God has called them to be. With colorful artwork, children learn to thank God and to pray to God, they learn a little about the Indians, the 13 colonies, the British and the Revolutionary War, in a simple way.
.
Pick up her first 2 books in the series to get a better understanding of all that Jenny and the farm animals have been through ~ A Nativity Christmas and The Easter Miracle.
.
This is a fun and instructive way to teach our children why we celebrate the Fourth of July, the importance of kindness to animals and to care for their environment, and that they too play an important part in our world today!
.
Highly Recommended! Get your copy of Hamilton Saves the Fourth of July at Amazon or as a download in Kindle.

Title: Just a Plain Poor Simple Shepherd
By: Rozlah Ridenoure
ISBN#9781498487986
A CBM Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars
.
Just a Plain Poor Simple Shepherd by Rozlah Ridenoure depicts Jesus as the Great Shepherd surrounded by the telling of His birth and the angels’ announcement that: “Unto them a King is born.” This children’s book speaks great things, one of glory, one of magnificence, one of angels in the highest, when the Father sent His son to Earth. Beautifully illustrated, the author captures the essence of that day, the culture, and focuses on the shepherds in the field who saw such an awesome sight.
.
Overcome in awe, they found the Son, the Son of Man, born to Mary and Joseph in a manger – Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. From the star above, Bethlehem shone in God’s brightness as the One True Shepherd, Jesus, as the True Shepherd of the flock. Sharing the stance, “I’m just a poor plain shepherd but I know my soul the Lord doth keep,” these Shepherds delight in the truth of the birth of Christ.
.
This children’s book is recommended to Christian parents and grandparents that would like to share the beauty of Christ in their homes through the telling of one of the most popular stories ever told! With discussion questions at the end, this book is also recommended for bringing salvation to those little ones that wonder who Jesus is. He is their Good Shepherd that keeps their souls.
.

A simple and highly recommended read to remember our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Perfect for a holiday gift this season. Get your copy of Just a Plain Poor Simple Shepherd at Amazon, in Kindle or at Barnes and Noble.

God of the Big Bang: How Modern Science Affirms the Creator by Leslie Wickman, Ph.D., writes an awe-inspiring work that connects modern science and the Christian faith. As a Scientist, Astronomy Professor, Corporate Test Astronaut, Rocket Scientist, Hubble Space Telescope Engineer, the author is well-qualified to present the scientific breakthroughs and data that confirm that the Christian faith actually coincides with scientific exploration and discoveries.
.
Tackling many difficult questions, such as: Can science and God co-exist? What is our purpose on Earth? Does God really exist? And so much more, this book helps people reconcile science alongside their faith. This is an easy-to-read book that is intriguing, encouraging and inspires readers to learn and understand, with wonder and awe, our great universe, giving answers as to why creation and science bow to only One Creator ~ God Almighty.
.

With such chapters as: Family Star Parties: A Plan and a Purpose, Is God Real? Evidence of His Existence, Approach with Caution: Using the Scientific Method, A Reasonable Faith: Using Logic and Sound Arguments, The Bible’s Message: A Valid Approach to Interpreting the Text, Genesis & Origins: A Spectrum of Views, The Goldilocks Principle: Just-Right for life, Environmental Stewardship: This is My Father’sWorld, The Universe: Are We Alone? and the Conclusion: Our Future and the Future of Science gives readers evidence and science to make an intelligent, logical conclusion.
.

Such lingering questions might include: Is there life on other planets? Why is our universe orderly, beautiful and seemingly designed by an Intelligent Designer? How does science intersect with faith?
.
Delving into Genesis, the Big Bang Theory, from a plethora of scientists, philosophers, theologians and the Bible, the book gives logical answers. Additionally, the book gives a great deal of researched material, teachings and instruction that affirm God as Creator of the Universe.

Title: God’s Easter Miracles
By: Lee Ann Mancini
Illustrated by Dan Sharp
A CBM Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars
.
God’s Easter Miracles by Lee Ann Mancini and illustrated by Dan Sharp offers little children the gift of Jesus and the miracle of Easter through a delightful and fun-filled story of life under the sea. With cute, bright and colorful pages, children learn about a school of fish, all different in shapes and sizes, that attend church to worship God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. There are Sea Horses, Manatees, a Puffer Fish named Melissa, and so much more for the eye to see. Life under the sea at Coralhood is a place where God, church, family and friends share community, as the author points out to the children that they are allspecial in God’s eyes.
.
Shedding light on the miracle of Easter and Jesus who gave His life to all by dying on the cross and resurrecting on Easter day give young children an understanding of how much they are loved personally by Jesus. Quoting the scripture verse, “Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13 (NIV), the author also presents several key life-lessons that children can relate to. Life lessons of being kind towards one another, praying for each other, asking Jesus to help you become like Him, help all the undersea children at the Sunday School learn how to care for one another in a godly way.
.
Filled with fun, children will always remember this book as it teaches the golden rule, to treat others as we would want to be treated and that giving is better than receiving. And most importantly the book teaches to little ones that Jesus gave the ultimate gift to us at Easter, His own life, so that we can have life and live in Heaven with Him. The author does an excellent job at explaining this on a kid’s level.
.
This is a wonderful and endearing Christian book that all parents and children alike will cherish. It would make a great gift to children in their Easter baskets. Children will also have fun finding the hidden Christian fish symbol (Ichthys) embedded in the pictures on select pages.

Perfect For Under The Christmas Tree.

Little Sister’s First Christmas
Bob Connally
ISBN #9781498478861
A CBM Book Review
10.0 out of 10.0 stars
.
Little Sister’s First Christmas by Bob Connally shares a short and endearing story from the perspective of TJ, Maria’s 7 year-old big brother. This year, it’s Maria’s first Christmas. TJ really wants to make sure his little sister has what she wants for Christmas. During a trip to the Mall and a visit with Santa, TJ decides that he must take charge for Maria (since she can’t talk) and write Santa a letter! Santa said that was fine as long as he sends the letter before Christmas Eve.
.
Life was really busy after that with decorating, Christmas cooking and school plays, that he forgot.  All of the sudden Christmas Eve arrived.  TJ felt guilty and feels like his sister won’t even get a present for Christmas at all. He continues to worry and wonder what to do. He even has bad dreams about the way things could end up.
.
During the course of all this going on in TJ's mind, his parents are unaware of what TJ is experiencing and all of those feelings of guilt come out Christmas morning and TJ finds out that his fears were unfounded. Maria received many presents from Santa and all of their grandmas and grandpas.
.
TJ draws a special picture for Maria of the yellow hippo that TJ believed Maria had wanted that he saw in the Mall. Hearing those first words, “Big Brubber” made all the difference as TJ learns the value of love. Love is special. It is to be cherished and on Christmas, the most important thing is to have love and unity in a family.
.
This story encourages all to be a family, and to love one another deeply, to love Jesus, to enjoy going to church in a simple genre – through the heart and soul of an innocent 7-year-old boy named TJ.
