To California Authors:
Thank you for accepting me into this sub-group. Last week at the Hanford Bookfest, it seems that there wasn't enough time to visit with everyone. It was a huge success.

Hope you had a great time, Marilyn. I plan to go next year, unless I'm stuck with two deadlines, as I am now. When you get a chance, send me info on your book. My television spot is the last Thursday of the month, so we have some time.

Just returned from the L.A. Times Book Festival. You can read about it on my blog: http://marilynmeredith.blogspot.com later today and about my own marketing plan at http://mysteriouspeople.com

Though I don't live in CA anymore, many of my authors do...and I definitely left my heart there. I miss it everyday, even the traffic, the smog and other warts...CA is still tops in my book.

Serendipity rules! (sometimes). I'm sorry this is a bit out of sequence but I wanted to share a good story about a good story. My latest book, A Voyage Beyond Reason has been enjoying great reviews. It records the incredible Voyage of Ben Wade - who is currently "coach" on Survivor TV! Now, this California kid has been summonded to NY as a guest at the finale' of Survivor! (May 17 - 8-10pm CBS). So, sometimers you write somethin' good, and sometimes strange things happen.

LOL Very good point, Bonnie! And finishing my book is one of my top priorities. I'll be thinking of you on June 15. :o)

That's a great aspiration. Will celebrate when June 15 arrives. Best of luck with your new book. I can't feature it if you don't write it.

EEK! Well, 'meet your deadline', Bonnie and don't do the latter option as I have aspiriations of you one day featuring my book on your segment! LOL 12hour days are hard and with the pressure of a deadline looming, I can only imagine your strain. But, I admire your dedication. Very motovating for a new writer!

Sarah--re deadlines. It's not "hope to meet" when you are under contract. It is meet it or die. So I am putting in 12-hour days right now.

We help each other. She and I go back a long way. I met her when she had (I think) only one book out, and I had none.
