The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Hello,

I am a primary school teacher in the UK. Six months ago I built a website called www.KidsStoriesOnline.com designed to encourage children with their writing and art. There are many aspects of the site but one of them is online writing and art competitions for children aged 4-17 years.

I'm looking for authors and illustrators of children's books who are able to review 2-3 pieces of children's writing or art work. In return you get to promote your books or artwork to your target audience (schools, children and their parents and teachers). Each month one of these authors or illustrators also gets featured on the main page of the site.

Please take a look at my website when you get a spare moment.

Hello Karen - I looked at your fab website and love the way you are involving the children in interactive activities. (my own first and only book so far is interactive and I think interaction is what facilitates learning)
At any rate, I'm writing you because I would love to review the children's writings and/or artwork. Please let me know what else I need to do to get involved. And thank you for what you do!
Hello Karen,

I've looked at your website and I think it's an excellent idea. You have put a lot of hard work into it. I've joined some of the groups and I would love to help with feed back for work submitted, be it written work, illustrations or short films. I am a Design and Technology teacher, I sepecialise in Graphics and I have just completed a short children's book which I have illustrated myself. It is aimed at 10/11 year olds and I had a recent book launch in my secondary school. All proceeds will be donated to either the school or to charity. My next aim is to offer my book to other schools so they can raise money for their school. I think the biggest influence for the students is being able to get instant information/advice from me. Even 12 year old boys who refuse to pick up a book have been racing to see me each day to tell me how far they've got! So I'd love to support you in your work as it really does make a difference.
I'll also speak to my headteacher to see if we can put a link to your website on the school system and help promote the site. You may want to consider contacting schools yourself, they all have an email address, as a starting point you may wish to contact those schools you have links with, ie where you went to school, live near.
wow, thanks for the kind comments. As you can imagine I've done quite a few hours developing KidsStoriesOnline.com so to receive your lovely comments really does make it seem worthwhile!

Thank you

karen
