AUTHOR’S CHOICE BOOK REVIEW WEB SITE GUIDELINES
Carolyn R. Scheidies, author of IdealinHope.com does book reviews for this group she created. You can find more information out at her personal web site and read reviews.

Purpose: AUTHOR'S CHOICE REVIEWS seeks to give options that entertain, encourage, inform and stretch. Books chosen for review either reflect conservative politics and an evangelical faith or are generally inspirational without offending those who hold this viewpoint.

Each month I select only a few books to review. Not all books will make it each month onto this site. But, each book reviewed will be read and evaluated carefully.

This is not the site to find either long flowery reviews or reviews that tear apart not only a book, but also the author. These reviews will strive to be fair, mostly positive, and honest.

Those who wish a book reviewed Please browse through the reviews to get an idea of focus, slant and what types of books are reviewed.

ACR will accept email attachment to some degree, also printed Advance Review Copies--only after the author contacts and ACR agrees. ACR prefers the actual book that will be on shelves. (Review books will not be returned whether or not a book is reviewed.)

ACR reviewers do not/will not edit books/ARCs sent for review. While ACR doesn't expect books, especially ARCs or Galleys, to be perfect, a certain level of professional editing is expected.

Guidelines: Audience--Christian conservative--politically as well as spiritually.
Fiction or non-fiction, any age group

Clean books that you would give to your mother, pastor/priest, daughter, son and have a take away value: message, entertainment, etc.

Prefer a Christian world view, but not preachy, though sweet, secular books fine.

No profanity or obscenity, not using any form of God's name as an expletive
No new age or the condoning of occult practices (even in fun) or equating other religions with Christianity
NO premarital sex scenes.
NO graphic sex/intimacy scenes
NO erotica or porn
ACR takes a Creationist point of view
