Hi, Tony. Thanks for sharing information about your blog for writers. I am finding that writing the book was the easy part. Learning how to market it, that's the challenge.

After a successful career as a Marketing Director of a growing company and after publishing my first novel, I started a blog that gives out daily marketing tips geared at authors who have no marketing experience and author who may be living on a shoestring budget. I then launched a free newsletter where subscribers have access to weekly video marketing tips for authors. I am looking forward to meeting a lot of like-mind people in this group.

It's taken a year or two, including two disasters with dippy publishers, but SWEET SPOT-my novel about crime/politics/baseball in Mazatlan-is finally published and on the rack.

Click the banner below to see the publisher's page, which has a synopsis, video, and free sample chapter.

Anybody who likes the book could do a few little things you can do to help me out, and I'd appreciate any of them:

Ask your local bookstore or library to stock the book. It's available through Ingram's distributors, which all shops and libraries are familiar with. It's returnable.

Anybody with an amazon.com account can tag, vote for, or submit reviews for SWEET SPOT

(Or for that matter, my previous book IMAGINARY LINES

Thanks for any help you can give me in getting this book into readers' hands.

Best to you all

Lin

Finding Solace in God
Author Shares Journey from Troubled Childhood to Salvation in Her Book
CAYCE, S.C. - Author Shakeena M. Whitmore shares the remarkable true story of her journey through a troubled childhood to redemption in her new autobiography, No One Understands Me But God... (now available through Authorhouse).
Whitmore's difficult childhood forced her to grow up too fast. Pregnant at 14, she became so overwhelmed with the challenges she faced that she was driven to attempt suicide at the age of 16. Throughout all of her struggles, Whitmore's life was complicated by her inability to believe in God. Finally at the age of 20 Whitmore gave her life to Christ and things began to change for her.
In this extraordinary, inspirational story, Whitmore shares her hardships and victories as she navigated through disorder to deliverance.
Whitmore hopes to reach other people facing challenges in their lives, particularly young people, to let them know the importance of accepting God into their lives. “I believe this book will appeal to others because no matter where you go and who you are, we are going to be misunderstood. I want readers to know that they are not alone. God does understand them,” Whitmore says.
Whitmore was born in New Jersey. She now lives in South Carolina with her husband, Byris, and her daughter, Latyrah. No One Understands Me But God... is her first book. More information is available at www.shakeenawhitmore.com
