My new novel, "Mask of Freya," although fantasy, is set in the Revolution of 1848 in Paris and has flashbacks to the age of Attila the Hun (a good guy in this novel); so it is a work of historical fiction--or, if you prefer, "history/fantasy."  A sect of pagan nature worshipers, devotees of Cat Goddess Freya, suffers attacks from government, church, and Satan, plus the Fire God Loki, and experiences a case of double murder, all during the chaos of the Revolution.  Fortunately, some of the sect can turn into supernatural animals to fight for religious freedom.  On Kindle, Nook, Smashwords, and Amazon.com.  Cheers, Karl

Good luck.  I teach WWII history in college, so I'll be interested in your progress.  I have a WWII novel on the market (paperback Amazon, also e-book on Kindle, Smashwords, and Nook) about a US Army officer and his WWII adventures (some combat, but mostly about his involvement in the dispute over what happened at Pearl Harbor), all the while in a love affair with the wife of another officer (and she has a 6 year old daughter to make it all very comples).  It's "Paul, Betty, and Pearl" (the "Pearl" is for Pearl Harbor).  It's the first of a trilogy covering also Korea and Viet Nam eras, but each volume can be read as a stand-alone. Hi everyone, I just joined this group. I'm in the process of writing my first historical fiction based on the life of my mother in England during WW2. I'm enjoying the adventure, but finding out how difficult it can be. 8 chapters down, ? to go!

I'm offering a trilogy of historical fiction: (1) "Paul, Betty, and Pearl" is set in WWII; it's a story of adultery on the personal level, while the viewpoint character also gets involved in the debate over what happened at Pearl Harbor, along with other WWII adventures. (2) "Daddypaul and the Yo-yo War" follows Paul into family troubles (a case of child molestation among them), the Korean War, and the 1950s McCarthy era witch hunts.  (3) "Gran'paul's Family" follows Paul and, more especially, his young relatives into the Cold War (a case of espionage), fears of homosexuality, family problems, the Vietnamese War and the anti-war movement.  Although these three books are linked, each can be read separately.  They are fiction, but based in part on my family's experiences, my service in Army Intelligence, and my work as an Army historian.  They are available at Amazon.com and Kindle.
