Here is a press release I did myself--is it professional enough to use? Any comments are welcome!

First-time author Philip Nork brings Sensitivity 101 for the Heterosexual Male to life!

Author: Philip Nork
Publisher: AuthorHouse
Distributors: Ingram Book Company
Baker & Taylor
Release date: August 2009
ISBN Paperback: 9781438967448
ISBN Hardcover: 9781438967455

Authors Website: www.philipnork.com

“The age-old “Battle of the Sexes” is still going just as strong as it ever was-and chances are it won’t lose any steam anytime soon. So rather than lament the fact that the game exists, men and women around the world are instead better off learning to play it to the best of their ability. Such is the premise behind Sensitivity 101 for the Heterosexual Male.” Tara Hopkins, Apex Reviews

“This is one of those books where the title does not adequately portray they content. Sensitivity 101 for the Heterosexual Male is not just for males, or even for just heterosexual individuals. This book can be enjoyed by anyone… If I had a son, I would want him to read this book.” G.A. Bixler, Book Readers Heaven

The journey we are on is a difficult one, even more so for those of a broken family. Follow the adventures of one such boy as he searches for the two desires we all share: the ability to be accepted by others and the right to be totally happy. Along the way he learns many life lessons that eventually lead him to discover both of these things.

“Straightforward and refreshingly candid…an impressive presentation of a life with a plethora of helpful lessons to share. Highly recommended for anyone seeking to cut through the typical façade of relationship ‘politics’ and learn the roots of true, lasting happiness.” Apex Reviews
“The stories that have emerged are ripe with feeling and diversity.” Authors Promoting Authors

Help me spread the joy of the holidays. On Cyber Monday, tomorrow, I will be donating 25% of my profits of "Sensitivity 101 for the Heterosexual Male" to The Children's Miracle Network.
So please buy a copy from amazon.com or from www.philipnork.com and help someone who needs it.
The book doesn't need to be for you, buy it and donate it to the local library, the local hospital, send to a soldier, or give it someone who won't get anything else this year. Please share this with all your friends and co-workers. Let's make a difference tomorrow for those that can't.
Thanks in advance for the help!

If you don’t know about Free E Day, you should check out the directory here: http://freeeday.wordpress.com/free-e-day-directory/free-words/

It’s a list of people who will be giving online literature, art and music away FREE on December 1.

But more specifically, I’d like to direct you to my contribution to the Free E Day project, the download of my eBook version of “Engines of Desire”. This is not an ordinary ebook by any means. It’s an exe file that opens up something more like a website to display the poems and videos. I’m very excited about this sort of presentation, as is Adoro Books, who used the same format for my book Flesh Wounds.
“Engines of Desire” is a revival my collection from the seventies, praised by people like Alan Ginsberg and Robert Bly and a major cult seller at the time. But this new format really lights the work up, and includes lots of recent poems and video poems.

Actually, “Engines” is available for free NOW, at this link. ONLY WORKS ON WINDOWS
Best bet is to right click the link then save it to your computer http://adorobooks.com/freeday/EnginesOfDesire.exe
From Adoro Book Works: http://adorobooks.com

I’d also like to draw your attention to free work (also available immediately) by Adoro author Grayson Moran. His “Sky Seeds” is a really nice SF tale, but told in contemporary times, most of the characters being young Mexicans who find out what the history of Earth is really about and use hyperspace travel to smuggle to other planets and head off a universe-wide conflict.

It’s a pdf document that reads on any computer with Adobe or other pdf reader.
Again, best to right click and save, then open from your hard drive: http://adorobooks.com/freeday/SkySeeds.pdf
Also from Adoro Books

And last, but absolutely not least, you can download a free copy of “Mayan Calendar Girls”. These locos inspired Adoro to put books out on exe and their novel, a pretty wild item anyway—sort of a “Hot Hitchhiker’s Guide To 2012 Gone Wild On the Mayan Riviera”—utilizes the format incredibly well. You’ve never read anything quite like this, with words popping up meaning and satirical pictures, great artwork, and various different sequences to read through the book. It’s a book that’s at once funny, sexy, eductational, thought provoking, and exasperating.

Also available for free NOW, at this link. ONLY WORKS ON WINDOWS
Best bet is to right click the link then save it to your computer http://adorobooks.com/freeday/MayanCalendarGirls.exe

Chad, I am feeling the same way as you are, but I think with a good plan we will be successful. We just need to come up with one. I am honestly having problems with twitter right now, as they seemed to be dealing with bugs. But I am on facebook quite often. If you would like you can add me under Miriam Slozberg.

Don't give up Chad. Sales aren't exactly where I would like them to be for me either but we can't throw in the towel. Keep plugging. This is the hardest part to writing unless you are some big time author. It takes time. Someone told me it takes upward of a year before people become aware of your book. It does take time. Launa

Chad, Mir, Jo-Anne, Michelle: Promoting our work is challenging. My idea is that we network and create a buzz together. My theory is the bigger the buzz, the more chances we have to hit the "jack pot!" So how do we do this, you might ask? Virtual blog tours, Twitter, Facebook, Nings, Blog Radio, all the traditional ways, and by remaining open to the new and creative ways inside of us. Peace and Light...Gary.

I'm giving up on trying to sell my book Sky Park. It really hasn't sold a single copy since I started promoting it and that was in the beginning of October. Just about on every writers group. Oh well, such is life.
