The author offers those who have lost hope or that are feeling disillusioned by life beginning with encouragement from Scripture as stated in Romans 8:28 (NLT), And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

He then proposes an astounding revelation that will bring much hope to those who read this book: You have the ability to choose. This may sound trivial to some, but it sheds light on the fact that circumstances or past mistakes do not define who you are “Destined to Be” in God.

With this fresh insight and sound Biblical wisdom this book is a practical read that announces to all readers individually that, You are not the sum total of all your past experience and circumstances and you have the opportunity to choose the direction of your life. Shedding light that many are at a crossroads in their life, the author re-focuses and brings powerful transformation in the lives of others by pointing them into their God-given destiny with a practical guide map developed from Scripture.

The author additionally speaks on such facets of the Kingdom such as: balance, the Armor of God, perseverance, unity, faith, trust, forgiveness, overcoming rejection, fear and false beliefs, healing of heart wounds and unforgiveness versus forgiveness. God’s provision and identity in Christ is boldly proclaimed as repentance, courage, and focus bring sound Biblical wisdom to the reader. The author has done an incredible job with outlining Kingdom principles that are designed to encourage, build faith, and offer Biblical guidance to the reader that ushers in transition from existence to destiny.

I cannot recommend this book enough. . . why? The author states the Truth (and offers Biblical, yet down to Earth advice) without being overly critical or judgmental. He lets people know the real pursuits in life, and gives a practical pathway to get there. His book is also based on firm Biblical principles of the Kingdom of God that will lead to increased peace, fruitfulness and joy. With that said, this is an easy-to-read book that brings to light scriptural truths in layman’s terms, that will lead to righteous living. Reading this book will bring God’s blessings for those that follow through with an open and obedient heart. Many Will Be Deceived by Russell Ian Jones is eye-opening read that speaks of Jesus’ return, the Last Days and the co-mingling of false teachings, influences and interpretation of Scripture that has led to a widespread deception amongst Christians.

His cover relates broadly what he focuses on, and as a Bible apologist, the author is one that is interested in science and history. Considering history and Scripture remains as the primary focus of his writings that abide by Biblical truth. Well-researched, this book also seeks to investigate Jesus’ claims that many false teachers will come. Within this, the objective is to instill a desire in the reader to seek the truth, the Holy Spirit and the absolute truth of Scripture. Additionally speaking of a false gospel that is preached and the Church at large that hides its head in the sand (thus the cover picture), teaching on such subjects as the Rapture, Evolution, the age of the Earth, the Great Tribulation, and much, much more make this book a great eschatological read that seeks to expose Gnostism, and many false teachings that have influenced the Early Church until now.

The author begins from the start of the book by not discounting Satan’s master plan to deceive and corrupt God’s master plan for creation, as noted in Genesis. Consequently, three main scripture verses are the focus of the book (Matthew 24:10-11; Rev. 1-3; Rev. 2:7). The reader can look these up, but in summation these three scriptures speak of those, even the elect that will be deceived and that it is important to study and know what the Bible says. With that said, the last verse (Rev. 2:7) speaks of listening to what the Spirit of God is speaking to the churches. The author gives introduction to the Antichrist spirit that is within the world, but speaks that there is hope for the one that overcomes and endures. Giving an analyzation of the early writings of the Ante-Nicene Fathers, this book investigates the ancient writings that were in defense of Christ’s teachings during the first three hundred years of the Early Church. The author advocates that Christians would be wise to investigate what the undercurrent of certain theologies came from and to know their history and Bible in regards to Christianity.

Offering a firm Biblical perspective, this book presents the teachings of Jesus as stated in the gospels and helps readers understand why many will be deceived and what sources of false teaching infiltrated and caused denominational division. A highly recommended read for all Christians to consider, ponder and understand the history and other influences that will bring them to their own research of Scripture, so they may know for themselves what the Bible says and what the Spirit of God speaks.  A highly informative read and one the author urges every Christian to consider.

Little Sister’s First Christmas by Bob Connally shares a short and endearing story from the perspective of TJ, Maria’s 7 year-old big brother. This year, it’s Maria’s first Christmas. TJ really wants to make sure his little sister has what she wants for Christmas. During a trip to the Mall and a visit with Santa, TJ decides that he must take charge for Maria (since she can’t talk) and write Santa a letter! Santa said that was fine as long as he sends the letter before Christmas Eve.

Life was really busy after that with decorating, Christmas cooking and school plays, that he forgot.  All of the sudden Christmas Eve arrived.  TJ felt guilty and feels like his sister won’t even get a present for Christmas at all. He continues to worry and wonder what to do. He even has bad dreams about the way things could end up.

.

During the course of all this going on in TJ's mind, his parents are unaware of what TJ is experiencing and all of those feelings of guilt come out Christmas morning and TJ finds out that his fears were unfounded. Maria received many presents from Santa and all of their grandmas and grandpas. 

.

TJ draws a special picture for Maria of the yellow hippo that TJ believed Maria had wanted that he saw in the Mall. Hearing those first words, “Big Brubber” made all the difference as TJ learns the value of love. Love is special. It is to be cherished and on Christmas, the most important thing is to have love and unity in a family. 

.

This story encourages all to be a family, and to love one another deeply, to love Jesus, to enjoy going to church in a simple genre – through the heart and soul of an innocent 7-year-old boy named TJ.
