The concept: there a many contests and polls on the web for writers and their work. Some, like the Preditors and Editors are major events and major bragging/promo rights.
This sort of contest is not a bad way to promote. WAY better than contests where you pay money for some idiot to decide what's "best". More people see them, if nothing else.
They are decided by visitor votes. Which means the winner isn't the "best", but the most popular or well-connected or most shameless spammer. This could be you.
This group is to enlist members as a voting bloc to help out. Post your current contest--with clickable links and usable instructions--to solicit votes, but remember if you're asking for votes, then it's only fair that you vote for others. Given enough members here, and a conscientious approach to reciprocation, this group could be a force for members.
