Something About Me and My Book:
After a lifetime of obstacles that rendered me incapable and at times, unwilling, to pursue my dream of becoming a writer, I finally did it at a time when most people are heading for retirement. How wonderful that the Lord Jesus Christ gave me a new career as part of the 1.1% of all screenwriters that ever get a movie made. He also allowed me to complete a book based on the movie called, “September Dawn.”
I’ve always been a romantic who has had the good fortune to live in romantic places. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii with its enormous diversity of culture filled me with stories from around the world and nurtured my love of history and the people who came before us. From there, I moved to Aspen, Colorado which is completely unique and different from almost any place on earth. Again, I experienced a world of glamour, excitement, and unbelievable tragedy. Through it all, I was sustained by my faith.
What inspires me to write? God inspires me to write. Life inspires me to write. Injustice inspire me to write. The desire to inspire others and to cause people to think inspires me to write.
Publishing my work means if anyone finds enjoyment in what I write, or finds something profound that will change or better their life, or finds comfort, inspiration, or a kernal of knowledge that affects their thinking and/or world of feelings, then I have done what I was supposed to do.

Thanks for sharing. I joyfully accept your friend request and look forward to fellowshipping with you and getting to know you better. I'm also sending you an invitation to our very special group, Christian Emotional Recovery. Some of us live with chronic illness and disability, some of us are waiting for God to turn our lives around for other reasons, and some are here to give comfort and support. We welcome you with open arms!

Please visit our site to find out more about us, our ministry and our emotional recovery workbook. We pray it ministers to youo like it has to countless others.

Funny you should mention being angry with God. You do know that's okay, that He can take it. What He wants from us is honesty, our being real, because, after all, He created us to love us, to be in relationship with us, and He so very much wants us to be and do that in return. Honesty is what makes relationships sustainable

I'll end here before I write another book!

    Blessings,
    Pastor Sharon Billington

Good luck to you, Carole. I hope we can help you find the strength and inspiration to continue with your writing.

Hi! Just took a peek at your site. Your story is impressive, and I'm also delighted to see that you are a relative neighbor, since you live in Colorade and we are in Norther Arizona. If you come out this way, we'd love to meet you in person and share hugs and whatever else God leads us to share!

Reading your book synosis, I agree wholeheartedly that prayer is a powerful tool for us believers. As you saw on our site, it's one of the main emotional recovery tools for Christians!

Yes, I know, I use a lot of exclamation points. A friend told me that how I speak all the time, so I guess it expresses itself that way in my writing! Oh, well....

Have an encouraging day and spread that encouragement to others that God sends across your path.

    Blessings,
    Pastor Sharon Billington

I have a niece, pastor's daughter from Utah, who is at ASU. Blessings to all of you. I am so happy to meet you all. As for your email yesterday, I talked about it with a dear friend of mine. Her mother is such a strong believer. She has had more physical problems than anyone I know and lives in constant pain. But everytime I see her, which admittedly isn't often, she has a smile on her face, and never complains. Her pain has never affected her faith, in fact she has drawn closer to the Lord. Her attitude is that everyone has problems and it is not for her to question why her prayers for healing haven't been answered, she simply trusts God. I respect and admire her faith and her positive attitude. Instead of complaining, like I often do, she is grateful for the good things God has blessed her and her family with. Actually, I'm embarrassed looking at her and ask the Lord to give me more faith.

Hi Carole, very cool about September Dawn. I missed it in theatres. Is it out on DVD yet? Heyday Films contacted me months ago about the rights to Snow Angel, The Duchess and the Dragon and the third book (as yet untitled). Do film companies buy the rights to novels and then contract out the screenwriting work? I'm not sure how that side of the business works.

I send you greetings of peace and love from the rest of the family. They, like I, are always with you and never leave or forsake you. The angels and the rest of us want you to know how precious you are to us.

When I agreed to give up my divinity and be born in the flesh, I did so very willingly. I looked forward to the time when we, you and us, could all be together and share in everything that is. I looked forward to loving you, hugging you, comforting you and encouraging you so that, when your life gets tough, you will feel secure and supported enough to face whatever you have to face. I looked forward to being the one you could rely upon unconditionally for that strength, comfort and encouragement whenever and however you need it.

Not only that, I looked forward to sharing with you that we created you to love you, and that we so hoped and desired that you would love us back. We want you in our life, and we love it when you want us in yours. It was so exciting when I could turn to my disciples and expand our relationship to include friendship and true fellowship. I offer that friendship and fellowship to you today as well, and I look forward to your inviting me into your life in that way.

You can see there are many reasons why I came in the flesh so many years ago. There’s more! I also wanted to set you free from thoughts and behaviors that hurt you emotionally and spiritually. If you were hurt by people or experienced hard times in your life and lost things like your health, relationships, or your way of life because of disaster or unemployment, I wanted to give you the tips and tools as well as the encouragement to recover emotionally and spiritually from who or what hurt you so you could have the kind of life I want you to enjoy.

Most of you understand why I sacrificed my life for you and what an act of love that was. It is my hope that this letter will help you understand how very much more my life and ministry were to accomplish. I look forward to expanding our relationship now and forever.

    Joyfully, Jesus

My, you've led an interesting life. I'm so glad that Jesus Christ is a fulfilling part of it, as he is mine. September Dawn sounds like a good read, and I love the title. Thanks for your comments re Heart of Stone.
