I am about to have my first published book. It is an exciting experience - but also daunting, because the whole self marketing idea does not appeal to me too much.

I had a bit of a shock this past week when I suddenly discovered that
having my book on Lulu was turning out to be a nightmare.
I am wondering how many of you self-published authors have used Lulu, but live out of the USA? It seems that if you want to be paid royalties - you need to have a USA Tax Certificate first. Now why I wonder. if I don't live there? Can anybody help me with this issue?

I don't have any knowledge about the legality of what Lulu is doing. They should be able to pay you -- if nothing else, via a PayPal account.
