Thanks for this first invite, Bill. As I review some of your events, I hope you can find the time to add to my blog. I'm a new author and I hope to serve the public well. It is also my hopes to inspire new sponsorships for my new book, "Target Washington: The Search for Osama bin Laden", ISBN: 9781434375230. Thanks again....
Thanks for your "friend"ship! I enjoyed reading and reflecting on your blogs. They are certainly eye-openers! I'm sooo glad the women's horror book and movie sales base in expanding in today's market!!!
Take care, Bill, and thanks again.
Hi Bill, Thanks for the friending. I will be interested in seeing you blog. Am hopping over there now. Please drop by my site and make yourself at home anytime.
My books are about enhancing long term intimacy. I suspected that women would buy the books and give them to their recalcitrant partners. I use humor as a device to promote bonding between couples. It is good to see the statistics.
Thanks
SHelly
Thanks for the welcome. I love the statistics you post. It's certainly true in my case that women buy my books by about a two-to-one margin over men. Maybe they're just smarter than we are!

Hi Bill, nice to "meet" you. I'm a professional writer but have not yet published my first book. I have written one and the college where I teach part-time prints it. I hope to "get publishing!" in the next year, and look forward to reading the posts.

Hi Bill:
I am here to learn about successful book publishing from those with experience. Any advice would be helpful. I market my self-published books at the seminars that I do and on amazon.com. Any ideas?
Bill, we have been doing PR for 30 years, and book PR for about 10 years. We won three national awards for the best book PR in the country. Honestly, we haven't done a virtual book tour. Our traditional PR includes contacting bloggers, TV, radio, magazines, and newspapers. We get clients on all kinds of shows and in the news. I am working with CNN presently because they want to do a segment on a client. We set up book tours, get speaking engagements, help authors get agents, arrange special events, and do media training for clients. Check out our website www.oconnorpr.com for some comments on our work. We are proud of what we have done. Our agency is small and we devote lots of time to each client. There are no junior people here and our fees are very reasonable compared to a New York firm.
Bill, if you have ties to mainstream publishers, let me know because we know top notch literary agents who are looking for a good publisher. My number is 847-615-5462.
Thanks for your kind invitation. I looked over a few of your comments before accepting this and thought they seemed sensible. So I will now look forward to reading to greater depth. While I am not new to the publishing industry, my career has veered away from trade publishing to professional (doctors and lawyers).
Six, seven years ago, however, I was enticed to begin work on a book, Preludes to Flightwhich I've now completed. As I've explored options to get it into press, I've discovered that with print-on-demand technologies, self-publishing, and the general malaise of the books industry, it's a brave new world out there. So I welcome the counsel and advice of those who've blazed the trail.
As regards my book, if you're interested, please feel free to check out: http://www.hanellpress.com/
Whatever the case, thank you again for your welcome.
The future of books truly gives one something to think about. I cannot understand the language but I certainly get the picture. Wow! That was very interesting and I can see where this is going. Thanks for sharing. Things that make you go hummm.
Wondering over your pages I feel like I have found a gold mine... Thank You for sharing so much info. Think I will be spending a lot of time reading what you have offered up.
What do you think of this excerpt from the Journey?
Going up the mountain to the house, they were surrounded by a pack of snarling wild dogs. The pack leader had a split snout that looked like it had been hit with an axe. That was one big, mean, and dangerous looking dog. They were intent on the groceries. Sarah was scared standing very close to Josh, he was determined they would not get their belongings. He was carrying a stout walking stick, and beat them all off. He hit the pack leader on the head hard enough to make him reel back and away. The others followed his lead; he bounded off shaking his head as if to shake off the effects of the blow. Sarah looked at her hero. They took a moment to look back down the mountain side. The city of Haifa lay between the mountains and the shore. Many freighters were close to the docks waiting to unload or load for export. Israeli warships cruised the perimeter of the port.
It is taught trying to write your first book, have any advice, wisdom you would like to share. check out by books www.kingdomplatformministries.org, click on Books-R-Us Store. Looking for some one who is good with designing book covers please inform me if you of such a one.
