Something About Me and My Book:
All I knew when I began to illustrate one of the stories I'd written was that I had stories for children that people seemed to love. And I knew I loved to draw. My husband and I are partners in a carved glass studio in Tarpon Springs, FL (www.lamanchaglassgardens.com) and so I have spent 20 years custom designing for clients. I illustrated at night so as not to cut across production time at the studio. My first children's book is called "Oliver the Overachiever" and was published this past spring. Oliver is a small lizard, an anole, who can change colors and decides that he can embrace a much more varied color "palette" than just some greens or browns. Basically, he learns very early in life about the power, joy and adventure in being himself. I hope he inspires kids to learn this as well.
