Something About Me and My Book:: I've always dreamed of being a writer but so many things got in the way over a lifetime. I finally made it when I published my first book in 2014 - "The Girl in the Velvet Slippers" - a biography of my mother's life set against the women's movement over 1914/2014.
Since then I've published two books of short stories and finally, FINALLY, I've managed to do what I love; I've written a novel. "Freedom's Progress" is a general fiction novel about three friends who grow up together in a rural village enjoying an idyllic childhood. The book then deals with the restrictions and expectations of society as they grow older. Each person takes a different path although as they progress through life, their paths sometimes intertwine. How they deal with the many situations with which they are faced makes fascinating reading.
