Something About Me and My Book:

My book is 'In Their Footsteps: Inspirational Reflections On Black History for Every Day of the Year'. I believe the positive legacy of black struggle for dignity, equality, and justice is one of the overlooked features in history; not just in the US but across the globe. Hundreds have sacrificed for family, community, race, nation and indeed all of humanity. Rosa Parks, Walter Sisulu, Countee Cullen, Ella Baker, Curtis Mayfield, Sister Elizabeth Lange, Jacques Roumain, and hundreds more are featured in this 400 page book. This is my third book; black history pours forth from the pages - and there are 12 illustrations by my artist friend, Jihmye Collins.
