I work as a scientist / engineer in a special unit of USAF OSI. We provide tech and analytic support to Special Agents throughout the Air Force on cases that are overly technical or too large for their regional office to handle. We provide the "heavy lifting" in the scientific and engineering subjects.
It's like McGee on NCIS, except I'm not a Special Agent (no badge or gun), it's Air Force not Navy, and McGee's tech is computers, while mine covers the whole range of science on DoD and military programs.
For a mystery writer, it is great to now be an official member of the law enforcement community. It's also a big thrill for me that the company I work for (a SETA support contractor) is wholly owned by the Chenega tribe of Alaska. I'm a happy Lakota (sioux) nDn working for my fellow Red Nation, the Chenega!
I've sold 3 mystery novels to 2 publishers, and a cantata for double choir and cathedral organ to the Annapolis Chorale. I am working on my 4th and 5th novels, and two operas: "Sitting Bull," and "Crazy Horse and Custer." I also paint and sculpt. I live with my artist partner+wife, Nancy, in the "Eastportorican" section of Annapolis.
