Something About Me and My Book:: I've been teaching history for nineteen years, the last 15 at Lake Hazel Middle School in Boise, Idaho. I have two children and have been happily married to Kara for 14 years. "Emerald Ace" begins the story of 15 year-old Mick Gallagher, an Irish lad who harbors a deep hatred of the British Empire (He lost his father in the 1916 Rising). After a German ace lands on his Aunt Patti's field, he soon finds himself fighting as a member of Richthofen's Flying Circus. Along the way he also finds love with the sister of his French flying instructor. This is an old fashioned adventure story geared toward the young adult market and for anyone interested in WWI aviation.
