Pam Waidner is an author, part-time children's ministry director, and sales clerk. She has been a full time director for her church's preschool for eighteen years and has served in children's ministry for the past twenty-eight years. Pam has been inspired to write about her life experiences hoping to encourage others by sharing how God can bless us through good and bad times. Losing four children before birth, a husband, a brother, and both her parents she has discovered the joy that comes through knowing there is a loving God who stands by our side and promises hope for tomorrow even in the blackest of times. She lives with her new husband and finds joy in her family in Northern Indiana.

Tom was her childhood sweetheart, healthy, full of life, and a type "A" personality all wrapped up into one. A life changing virus left him with a damaged heart and eventually in need of a transplant. He had a zest for living right up to the very end. Death brings us to the very edge of grief and blackness, it's so final. God reaches out and the choice becomes our to grab a hold of the hope he offers. . . The unwanted journey of finding hope even in the midst of the silence that follows after the words, "There is nothing more we can do."
