Something About Me and My Book:
My name is Patricia Neely-Dorsey. I am from Tupelo,MS. I recently returned home, after living almost 20 yrs in Memphis,TN ,working in the mental health field. In February 2008, I published my first book of poetry entitled "Reflections of a Mississippi Magnolia: a life in poems". There are so many negative connotations associated with Mississippi and the south in general. I want to show a flip side of the coin. There is much to love about this much maligned and misunderstood part of our country. Through childhood memories, personal thoughts and dreams I attempt to give a positive glimpse into the southern way of life.
I really want people to get to KNOW Mississippi in a different light and I want to introduce them.
My platform is basically Meeting Mississippi Through Poetry, Prose and The Written Word.

Patricia, just thought you might want to know that you have a great 2-page write up in the latest issue of CBB Writer's Magazine (http:www.coldcoffee.ning.com/). It features Reflections of a Mississippi Magnolia, along with your bio, photo and my review. It's a great article, if I do say so myself! You might want to pick up a few copies for family and friends. Hope you enjoy it!
