Something About Me and My Book:: Hi,
I'm Mike. All of my working life I have been in the Entertainment Industry, the first 10 years as a professional Actor, and 20 years as Head of A&R for RCA Records and Pye Records (11 yrs RCA & 9 yrs Pye). For the past 14 years I have been running my own Entertainment Agency and Management Company. In 2001 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and received the oppropriate treatment, but have had to cut down on my workload, especially the late nights!!! When I started my Entertainment Agency there were no books available to help me, and nobody to turn to, just that well known double act 'trial & error'. I decided to correct this anomoly, and so 'Waiting in the wings' was born. 'Waiting in the wings' is a complete A to Z of the business. It covers such aspects as Setting up in business/Office requirements/Building an Act portfolio/Obtaining Clients/Current legislation/Contracts/ Case Histories and Useful Contacts.
