Something About Me and My Book:
I've had twelve nonfiction books published and I specialize in forensic science, criminal justice, criminal law and entertaining. The lastest book is the 2nd edition of Legal Ease: A Guide to Criminal Law, Evidence and Procedure (Charles C. Thomas Pub.) For this new edition we've created Q & A, definitions, and other notes at the end of each chapter in the hopes that this can also be picked up as a college law textbook.

A book of mine called Making Crime Pay: A Writer's Guide to Criminal Law, Evidence and Procedure was a Writer's Digest BookClub Selection and is popular with mystery writers and crime drama novelists.

Personally, I hold a degree in criminal justice, am a trained forensic artist, able to do forensic reconstruction sculpture and comprehensive composite art (eyewitness drawings, cadaver drawings and fugitive updates). I am a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners International (ACFEI) and the International Association for Identification (IAI), professional organizations for law enforcement, forensic scientists, and others in the criminal justice field. I am also Editor for the Arkansas Identification News, our IAI quarterly.

Since I am an author first and foremost, I am also a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, Inc., Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America, and the Guppies, a subgroup of SinC.

Currently my agent and I are trying to sell a book entitled: The Myth of CSI: Is Forensic Science the Panacea of Justice? For an overview, there is a web site devoted to the topic and a blog. The URLs are: http://www.the-CSI-effect.com and blog at: http://www.thecsieffect.blogspot.com

And, finally, I raised a capuchin monkey for Helping Hands, and am a Contributing Editor for The Simian. I've studied primatology since 1989 when I got Ziggy, a five-week old monkey. Ziggy is now a helper/companion for a quadriplegic. I often write about primates and their behavior.
