This charming fantasy novel is for readers of all ages, enlivened by word play and deft writing while focusing on the clash between good witches and bad, good wizards and bad, and conflict on a grand scale. Memorable characters and scenes make this a sparkling work of imagination for all who enjoy fantasy. Book launch is to be Oct. 25, 2008 at Book Lovers Bookstore, Sacramento, 1-3 pm. The book's cover depicts Wyla's tidy little house in the tidy little village of Myrtle Marsh, six miles east of Flora Forest.

I really like this book, and jumped at the chance to publish it. All the feedback from prepublication readers has been positive. As a bonus, I got the opportunity to publish the same author's contemporary novel The Lostcreek Legacy. Evelyn Swift, of El Dorado Hills, California, is not only a fine writer, she is versatile, with works running from historical fiction to contemporary dramatic fiction and even fantasy (Wyla the Witch), and as co-author, memoir.
