For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers
This parable-like short story can easily be mistaken for a children's book. It is clearly intended as a teaching tool rather than a novel. We learn from the characters’ trials and successes. Human nature is human nature wherever one might find oneself and thus the central questions and dilemmas are universal and the ethical aspects that arise bear reflecting upon whatever tradition one is from.
The author writes from the perspective of the African renaissance and uses the book to highlights the critical role fathers should play in the upbringing of children and the subsequent influence they have in shaping their children’s future.
