I asked the artist to describe a man who faced the inner anguish of himself. I think she captured the emotion perfectly. Then, just as she was ending this cover project, her brush took a violent spin and this bird appeared. The artist became agitated and told me she would have to start over. I said "no, leave the bird. Let it be the messager."
