Shuttlecocks and My Writing

These two shuttlecock, feathered or plastic, are projectiles with unique aerodynamic properties. These properties cause it to fly differently from the balls used in most raquet sports. The feathers create much higher drag, causing the shuttlecock to decelerate more rapidly than a ball. These feathers and these shuttlecocks are symbolic of my writing which, of necessity, must decelerate as a go from prose-poem to prose-poem.
