Author Maxwell Kobina Acquah's book THE CHURCH is a well written piece. In his writing he breaks down the meaning of the word, "Church" and goes on to explain what the Bible says about the true meaning of the word.
Even though he quotes Bible passages, he is great at breaking down the terminology into layman's terms. A line that the author wrote instills my faith in myself and my religion. His words, "To find a good Church, look for where the Bible is preached as the word of God and believe in the deity of Jesus Christ."
Maxwell K. Acquah is a gifted author as shown in the writing of this book. He does an excellent job in explaining in detail what the true "Church" must believe in to exist. He also explains the unhealthy characteristics of a false church and false doctrine. He is very thorough in his research and beliefs.
He goes on to explain the meaning and the commitment of local church membership and the physical participation with fellow church members.
In chapter four he continues to bring to light the church management and governing administration of the Church. His explanation and purpose of church discipline is very thorough and made easy to understand. With the help of scripture the author is able to put into layman's terms how to practice Church Discipline as well as to learn the procedures for Church Discipline.
The author brings to light the thought of the true Christian and how he/she differs from the different religions and what will unite the true C
