hello, Lets hope that this will or might just help. I am writing this on the behalf Of Hugh Harrison, who is an Author, in Godalming Surrey. He has written his first ever childrens book. The Adventures of Rufus the Red. @£4.99 plus postage. But we have had to sell it ourselves or try to. I still have copies left. Our Local Smiths in town are the only ones who have been helpful. We have tried book signings but nothing seems to be working at all.If I go to a larger store they will rip us off and we might just as well Give this little book away. We went self Publishing ( Never again ) regards Amanda Harrison

Amanda...on that note of collaborating with others... your profile (here, above) doesn't have a valid URL. What's your website where you can be found? What's your blog site? Do you share your struggles and accomplishments of creating this book? There are thousands of others out there, just like you and I, trying to get where I am and first, where you are. Share with them....

I just wanted to say. I too went thru lulu, it's very hard to get out on the media to sell my books and many, many long hours reading and buying E-books to read my self. and spending time time on the computer. As I have a full time job. I do all this after hours. I can say I've wasted more money than anyone here on advertising.....
Since I work at a school thought I would run an ad at our Local Movie theater. 14 screens 5 times a day-Cool,
Cost $1,500 a month, 3 month minimum. and this was 50% off since I'm helping out 3 local schools. made just 2-sales. Kids at my school thought it was cool to see me on a big screen 8 feet tall and dressed up with my books. I tried Google Pay per click at $1.25 a click, gave me #1 page. wouldn't you know it? my two children thought they would help me out at school and the library by clicking on them non-stop.
As I told them I wanted more web site hits, It's funny now. I should have told them don't touch Google search site. I'm learning real fast, and I learned a lot after 3 years. Do you belong to myspace or any other net working sites? Are you planning on having a web site?
If yes, I might be able to help a little.

How come it cost you so much money to self published? Who did you publish with? I used LuLu and it hasn't cost me a penny....yet. I will have to pay to receive an ISBN but until then I am just getting my book out there and trying to get it noticed. Good luck and don't give up!
