Book Review

I am very happy about this positive book review. The funny thing is I didn't even knwo it was there! I randomly googled Janeylou -- which is the name of my main character in Ainsworth! It was quite a shock!

Blog Novel

I'm having a lot of fun, and finally getting back to doing some creative writing. I'm doing it as a blog novel. It's just for fun. I've been twittering it and putting it on places like stumbleupon to get readers to take a look at my writing style. Hopefully somebody out there will like it, and I've put a link on there for people to click on if they want to purchase a copy of my book Ainsworth. I wonder if anyone else has done this sort of blogging.

Sample Chapter

I know it is important to include a sample chapter from your book. After all who wants to buy a novel from an unknown author without even at least being able to look inside to see if you like the writing. I haven't figured out how to add sample chapters to my Amazon listing of Ainsworth, http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=anthea+carson+ainsworth&x=16&y=19

but at least I have added a sample chapter to my webste at… Continue

Gone With the Wind

I set up a book signing in Florida. Well, actually I didn't set it up. I have this funny childhood friend and he set it up. He went to a lot of trouble for me, so I drove for four days with my family to go and set up a puppet show/chess lesson using lots of animal chess openings for the kids in Orlando. My husband put on a gorilla suit. I know, I know, it was worth it because we sold five books. That's five! It would have been six had the Orlando Public Library purchased a copy.

But… Continue

Hi Anthea,

Congratulations on your books. I'll have to check out "How To Play Chess Like An Animal." It looks like a great present. I really like how you designed the website. I also just wanted to mention to you a website I built called AlreadyPublished.com. It's for authors to promote their book. You do so by posting your book's first chapter, giving readers a peek into your book. The site is free and the list of books is growing, so please check it out. :) BTW, good luck with your books!

p.s. You can also check out this blog post on the Already Published Ning Network, I explain how to post your book. You can also learn more about the website there.

Best,
John

Welcome, Anthea! Glad you could join us.

I like your pacing for promoting your books. Sometimes, I let myself have too much free rein and get swamped.
