Anthony, excellent advice which I'll seriously consider. But, before doing anything, I need PROOF that people will read my wares. (I have BIG ideas, but I'm such a fledgling at writing, maybe all my hard work will be for naught.)

I gave it a test on Monday when I posted copies of my writings on the Bulleton Board at the local grocery store to see if people would take them and read them. Astonishingly, 17 of the 20 copies are gone already. What does that say? ...lol...Probably that people like Free Stuff, but to pitiful me, it's motivation to keep on writing.

Anthony, how the hell-o, do you find time to write?
(Most days, I barely have time to think)

I understand how those indecisions can hold us back. Is your book close to being done? Maybe you could release it in book form, and work on the stage play version later? Just a thought. Then you won't have to decide between the two. If you self-publish, then your work would be out there and enjoyed by others right away, and you'd be getting helpful feedback, reviews etc. while you work on the stage play version. And sometimes self-published books get noticed by editors and agents and give us opportunities we might not otherwise have.

QUOTE..."I started it some time in the early '90's. No exaggeration. Bill Clinton was President"....lol..Either the task of "get'n 'er done" became an Albatross on your back or existed all that time as a Labour of Love, it'll all be finished soon. Congrats my friend. I'm looking forward to buying this book. :-)

Anthony, I admire the fact you're a Straight Arrow when it comes to WHAT to do with it. ME? I flip-flop back and forth...trying to decide whether to convert the nine chapters of my Pirate Parody book into a Musical Stage Play. ( I spent a year writing the narrative and creating 21 songs for it.) Now I think it's better in book form. Zeeech! I can't make up my mind. AND my work sits in LIMBO till I make the right decision. :-(

Hi Deanna:

My book is very close to done (74 pages left to edit as of five minutes ago). Thanks for asking. I started it some time in the early '90's. No exaggeration. Bill Clinton was President. I neglected my writing for many years, trying to get back into it but never staying with it. I've decided to self-publish on CreateSpace and give it a shot. Who knows? Maybe I'll be able to afford that new Tupperware after all.

Hey, how's your book coming along?

I suffered a Writer's Block for over TWO frig'n years, but after falling and landing on my derri-air, I'm back with a pen in my hand. Thank God!

Hi Anthony!! Thanks for becoming my friend. Here's a note I send to all my new friends. ..."You realize, of course, being my pal et al, you'll be invited to all my Tupper Ware Parties and my annual "TEA ON THE GREEN"...( a get-together of various writers in the area, sipping King Cole Tea and eating crumpets on my lawn, down by the river.) It's a Whale of a Party and I hope you can come. Just wink at a she-pilot who owns a plane and she'll fly you here for free. (ORRR...a nice female Truck Driver who owns a trusty 18 Wheeler.)"

Have a nice day and I'll talk to you later.......Hugs, Deanna :-)Delete Comment
