THE CRAZY LIFE OF A KID FROM BROOKLYN was a wonderful read for me. Bill tells a story that was much different from my own but does so with a great deal of humor, factual details, and historical accuracy which keeps you turning pages. I grew up in the Midwest which was obviously much different than growing up in Brooklyn. Bill was involved with ROTC in college and ended up in the Army during the Korean Conflict. I was career Air Force, enlisting about 15 years after Bill. His military experiences were as different to my own as the environment we grew up in. Being a prankster and not interested in following rules kept him on the edge of annihilation of his potential military career. His professional life in the shoe business certainly was rewarding not only financially but from personal as well as professional growth. I found his extensive travel a key ingredient to the story and can’t help but think it must have been exhausting at times. Although I didn’t try to count the total countries he visited, but it must have been 50 or more. A story of strong personal and professional conviction, high morality, and great business ethics make his approach to life and business refreshing and made this book a wonderful story of a long and obviously rewarding life. Read it and enjoy.
