- Something About Me and My Book:
- I've been writing poetry since I was 17 and every time the pen has hit the paper it has mirrored almost every thought, feeling or belief to date. Some things were easier to write about than others and only took minutes, while some poems took over a month of soul searching and many trips to the proverbial looking glass to face my past, my fears, and my insecurities. I’ve tried to put most of them into a perspective so as to not only understand them better but to express them in such a way that the reader comes to the realization that they are not entirely alone. I’m a person who views life, as a whole, as being a puzzle. The final picture the puzzle creates is neither known nor predetermined. Pieces of the puzzle are any person or event that emotionally affects us in any way, good or bad, big or small. It’s not so much a matter of whom or what becomes a piece, it’s what we do with it and how we incorporate it into the puzzle that matter. Writing poetry is my way of figuring out how the pieces fit, hence the name of my book "How The Pieces Fit". It's been as much a labor of love as it's been laborious but I've learned so much it's been invaluable and will make the second book seem like child's play I'm sure.
