ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Bryan V Goulstone, born in 1940 in Cambridge, England, was educated at Yardley
Court Preparatory School, Tonbridge, Kent, England from 1948 to 1953, and at Mill
Hill Public School, North London, England, to 1958.
He started out in his chosen career in Plastics Technology at the bottom as a
Laboratory Assistant in the Plastics Industry and rose through the ranks to become
involved in Innovative Research and Development Department, his ultimate aim. In
1971, because of the state of the British economy, the department was dissolved and
he migrated to New Zealand. Since migrating to New Zealand he had worked mainly

Since leaving the industry he has worked closely with the Combined Unions Safety
and Health Office in Christchurch, lecturing to companies on Chemical Safety, and
has connections with many of the environmentally active groups. He gives public
lectures on safety with chemicals and has published a book called Hidden Hazards:
Household Chemicals which is available on Amazon - and two safety pamphlets.

general fiction subjects but sometimes indulges himself with ventures into other areas
of the writing art. The fiction stories enable him to live in a fantasy world of his own
creation. This is, of course, pure escapism but he hopes you enjoy the fruits of his
He lives beside a double volcano (hopefully extinct) on the Canterbury Plains in a
beautiful city called Christchurch in New Zealand, recently (September 2010) struck
by several massive earthquakes and is being rebuilt, with his wife and two cats. He
also has two daughters and a grandson.
