- Something About Me and My Book:
- Born into an ethnically and religiously diverse family, i.e. a typical American family, I was early recognized for my singing, verbal and mathematical abilities. A graduate of Grinnell College and Carnegie-Mellon University, my day jobs have revolved around computers, mathematics and economics, while singing tenor in major choral groups at various venues, including Carnegie Hall, Heinz Hall and the Kennedy Center. I have had several letters to the editor and a poem published in The Washington Post, while continuing to write and compose music, much of which I have copyrighted.
I have two published books of poetry, "The Washington Poems" and "Sonnets for the Spanish", both of which have been favorably commented on, though I have been, for the most part, too shy about asking for formal reviews. I have no problem getting up on stage and performing, but when it comes to asking favors of anyone outside of family, I get social fright. The same thing goes for sales, which I find terrifying. Hopefully, this site will help me circumvent the fact that I am the worst salesman in the world.
