Something About Me and My Book:: I’m a writer of historical children's fiction that is accepted by English Heritage, and I’m writing my way around Shropshire’s historical sites. This fiction is based upon numerous environmental study visits with Shropshire schoolchildren. I’m now moving into the mainstream children's market with a modern fantasy based upon Norse Mythology - again set in Shropshire. After working with the Standard Bank of South Africa in Zimbabwe, I taught poetry and other aspects of creative writing at many colleges of further education, was Deputy Headmistress of a Shropshire primary school for nearly twenty-five years. After early retirement, I set up my own art and craft business, became an actress, and then three years training to be a C. of E. minister. Now I am a full time writer, member of the Society of Authors, and my books can be purchased in independent bookshops, some W.H. Smiths bookshops, and are available on my website. Two of my books will soon be available as eBooks.
