Profile Information

Something About Me and My Book:
Just to share a little information about me, I was born in Marianna, AR. I am a proud graduate of Holly Grove High School, and I currently working toward a degree in Business Management from Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas and continuing on to a four-year college to get a degree in Business Administration.

I have one small son born in July 2007 and I have a grown son from a previous marriage who is twenty-three. I do have a full time job. I work as an office manager for a branch of the USDA. I don't consider writing love stories as work. That is my fun time, my stress-reliever time, so when I get in from work and get my son taken care of, I relax by writing love stories.

I began my writing career in the High School, when I would hand-write my stories for my classmates to read. I'm proud to say some of those same classmates are Carrie J. Keaton readers today!

My professional writing career began in 2006 when I self-published my first book with Authorhouse. My first book, Two Loves, One Heart has been doing very well. My book depicts a woman's search for true love. It's a contemporary romance novel with a domestic abuse theme. Domestic violence is an all-too-common occurrence in today’s society, and wreaks havoc on the emotional and physical wellbeing of its victims. In this novel, I try to bring these emotions to life in the story of a young, ambitious woman who must choose between her first love turned abusive and an old friendship that develops into a passionate romance. Since then I have been working on a second and third novel, which I would like to call my “Heart Series.” My second novel (Always in my Heart) will hopefully be complete by the end of this year or the first of 2009. So stay tuned!!

TWO LOVES, ONE HEART - CHAPTER 3 (LAST FREE CHAPTER)

Billy got promoted to Chief Engineer for his hard work and his concept of drafting. I was so proud of my husband and his accomplishments. Though, as proud as I was of Billy, and his achievements, his ambitions moved me and made me want to pursue my career. But I figured I would wait a little longer before I said anything.

The days lumbered by, and they turned into months, but I was patient and I occupied myself with making a quilt. My grandmother had insisted that I learn how to quilt some… Continue

TWO LOVES, ONE HEART - CHAPTER 2

The weekend seemed to quickly pass. I arose early to prepare breakfast for Billy. Today was his first day on his new job and I wanted to send him off on the right foot. I’d put on a pot of coffee, and stepped outside the door to pick up the morning paper. Placing the paper on the kitchen table, I put some bacon and sausages on the griddle. After adjusting the flame under them, I grabbed a cup of coffee and began thumbing through the paper. Returning to the stove, I turned the bacon and… Continue

TWO LOVES, ONE HEART - CHAPTER 1

I felt like I was on top of the world ---- I, Lynnette Thomas, was now Mrs. William Matthews. We had the most beautiful lawn ceremony. My eyes swept over our guests who had been a part of the most wonderful day of my life ---- my wedding ceremony. Smiling happily and gazing over the crowd, I could see that everyone was clearly enjoying themselves----eating, laughing, talking, and drinking. The clamor from everyone talking and the laughter seemed to fade into the background, as my mind entered a… Continue

Blog for: TWO LOVES, ONE HEART - Read FREE Chapters!!!!!!!!!

I love books. Love reading them, love writing them, love talking about them. I see blogging as a great way to reach readers a wonderful way to find support for my brand of writing among those who share an interest in the subject of your book. Blogging about your book can increase awareness of my writing, and it is a way to even receive valuable feedback that I can use to incorporate into writing. I would like to encourage readers to post reviews of my book if they like it on their own blogs or… Continue
