Something About Me and My Book:
"Every Rescued Dog Has a Tale: Stories from the Dog Rescue Railroad" describes how thousands of homeless dogs are saved every week from death row by volunteers who drive them from kill shelters to rescues. I become a volunteer 7 years ago and have hundreds of "tales" as well as photos of these happy endings. Hopefully more people will become inspired to become a volunteer and save more lives.

I work part-time in an ER in a large Cincinnati hospital as a clerk. My husband is a retired Cincinnati Police Officer and also works part time at the same hospital. We enjoy spending the weekends saving dogs by driving them to rescues. We now live with two senior rescued dogs, Wookie and Snugglebug. We had a chow for 11 years and she passed away in 2003. Chows and pit bulls are a couple of our favorite breeds, and they need friends more than most breeds since they suffer from such bad press. I am fighting Breed Specific Legislation in Ohio and also want to pass a law making it illegal to chain a dog continuously, which is absolutely inhumane. My book is for sale on DogsDeserveBetter.org as a fundraiser. Please check out their website and help them bring an end to this suffering. ALL profits from my book go to dog rescues and rural animal shelters.

A heartwarming journey into the world of rescued dogs...cars driving through the night, messages asking for help for suffering dogs, and the satisfaction and dog love that creates the canine connection for the author and the reader. This personal saga was an eyeopener for me and fascinating to read the author's personal adventures in the Dog Rescue Railroad.
