The Depth of Pink

      Pink is a color known for its feminine properties, a color that to most represents the female.  It is the color that many moms choose to adorn their baby girl in at one point or the other.  When we think pink, we think sexiness, lingerie, dresses, shoes, dolls, bows, flowers, little girls and baby girls; anything and everything feminine.  Pink is for all women, it is the one color that is fully associated with us in every way.

The color pink represents compassion, nurturing and love. It relates to unconditional love and understanding, and the giving and receiving of nurturing.

A combination of red and white, pink contains the need for action of red, helping it to achieve the potential for triumph and clarity offered by white. It is the passion and power of red softened with the purity, openness and entirety of white.

Pink is feminine and romantic, affectionate and intimate, thoughtful and caring. It provides a gentle, loving energy, pink is a sign of hope. It is a positive color inspiring warm and comforting feelings.

Pink calms and reassures our emotional energies, alleviating feelings of anger, aggression, resentment, abandonment and neglect. The color pink puts people in touch with the nurturing side of themselves, through either the need to receive or the need to give nurturing.

      We often joke with our male counterparts and encourage them to “get in touch with their feminine side”; this is probably a phrase every man has heard some time in their life!  As women we occasionally want the men in our lives to show sensitivity and greater affection and this is usually when the phrase is used. It is said as an encouragement to the man for him to attempt to understand us females and the way we think, act or manage ourselves.

Pink is intuitive and insightful, showing tenderness and kindness with its empathy and sensitivity.

      As women we each have our own ‘cause’; we each hold something of value within our hearts that is applied daily as we walk the journey of our lives, this is an expression of our sensitivity.  Whether it is your devotion as a wife or mother, your desire for constant edification through learning and study, your commitment to progress within your chosen career field or your interest in a hobby; women are naturally loyal creatures and are born with a longing for purpose.

      We are born with pure intention and clear conscience; it is only through outside influence that our naturally nurturing selves are often corrupted and stray from the principles of femininity. Throughout history there has been the rising up of a woman who reminds us of exactly how powerful, dutiful and influential our gender is.  We must hold true to the principles of being who and what we are and realize that being born female is one of the greatest blessings of all.

      There is a saying “behind every great man, there is a good woman”; and this saying is absolutely true. If this saying was not true; historical and present kings and rulers may not have been so adamant about finding the perfect mate (whatever their notion of perfection might have been) to produce their successor or off-spring.  As women we have to set a mission for ourselves to be the best at all we consider important, to be of example to other women, younger or older and to uphold our charge of being PINK – Perfect, Inspirational, Natural and Knowledgeable!

 The Depth of You

      Who are you? This is the question every woman will at sometime ask herself as she attempts to connect with her true being and determine her purpose. To give a simple answer - you ARE Beauty. Women are the greatest example of beauty, and the sooner we stop dwelling on the examples of beauty shoved at us through magazines and television, the sooner we will learn to accept that each of us is filled with our own unique beauty and that is why we do not and cannot conform to the precise examples as publicly portrayed; every woman is unique for a divine reason!

      We women must first accept ourselves as we are before anyone else can; you must make it a point to love yourself for just being you.  Choose your best feature and praise it, compliment yourself everyday about it, attempt to enhance it daily.  If you love your eyes; apply an eye shadow or liner that flatters them. If the thing about yourself is not physical but mental, make a point to exercise that aspect of yourself as often as you can.  If you are a fantastic painter, paint every chance you get and check local art galleries for opportunities to display and/or sell your work; be proud of your own abilities.  Do these things with the intention of getting to know and loving yourself. Sometimes we are so distracted with what we think others are thinking about us that we take no time to think about ourselves, for ourselves.

      Get to know yourself; not just your likes, but also your dislikes. If that means lying in bed and identifying these things on your own or making a list. Know your strengths and weaknesses, plan and structure your goals (short term and long term).  

      Organize yourself in a way that calms your spirit and allows you to think clearly and not be clouded by anyone else’s perception of who you are or who they feel you should be.  When we take the time to know ourselves we are less likely to be negatively affected by outside influences and critiques. When we learn our strengths and weaknesses it is easier to know when, where and how to apply our strengths accordingly or suppress and control our weakness when necessary.

      Learn what makes you sad, angry, discouraged, stressed, etc. and then compose a plan of action with the intention of reestablishing a healthy, happy demeanor when these ugly emotions rear their heads in your life.  These emotions are very unhealthy and prolonged exposure to them can lead to depression, so we must make every attempt to avoid or redirect our thoughts to more positive things the moment the negative emotions are identified....
