YES...MY RETARDED ASS SIGNED UP
CHAPTER -3- BASIC TRAINING

A long day of activity requires a healthy meal to keep us motivated.
Water doesn’t always cut it.
A Drill Sergeants favorite phrase is “Drink water Private!” If the Recruits are hot “Drink water Private!”
If the Recruits are cold “Drink water Private!”
If the Recruit breaks their leg “Pour water on it Private!”

Although water is essential an M.R.E (Meal Ready to Eat) is a Soldiers savior during field exercises. There usually isn’t enough time to go to the Chow Hall when the Recruits are in the field. An M.R.E keeps everybody from starving or having to eat each other.
The M.R.E’s come in a tightly sealed plastic package. They carry over 4000 calories individually. That helps replenish the excess calories burned by most Recruits during field exercises.
Are the M.R.
E’s any good? That depends on who you ask. Good or bad, everybody eats them.
Most Recruits don’t know what to expect when they first receive an M.R.E. We spend most of the day trying to learn how to open the shit. Once that mission is accomplished, it’s time to figure out our options. For example; The M.R.E could say Chicken Tetrazinni on the outside. That’s cool, but what type of snacks come with that M.R.E? That’s very important. Most Recruits pick their M.R.E based on the snack content. The pound cake is like gold in an M.R.E. A Recruit might trade in their whole meal and their weapon for a pound cake.
Chow time with an M.R.E is like the stock exchange in New York City. There is a lot of dealing and trading. A fruit snack for a Tootsie Roll, peanut butter for a cheese spread, a hot coca mix for a flavored drink beverage. Anything goes.
Heating bags are used to heat up the M.R.E’s. Just add the right amount of water and you have an instant stove. I ate my Chicken Tetrazinni cold. Everybody eats their M.R.E’s differently.
Some Recruits turned into gourmet chefs with their M.R.E’s. They would melt cheese with their heating bags and add all types of ingredients to their meal. Heating bags are also used to make the infamous M.R.E bombs. I’m not authorized to teach anybody how make a bomb in this book or any other book.
You’ll have to learn that on your own..... Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic
