Something About Me and My Book:
I am a writer, editor and writing tutor. I'm in the process of setting up a small publisher to produce writing 'how to' books based on my course material. I'm writing the first book myself 'The Crafty Writer Guide to Non-Fiction Writing', but hope to commission other writing teachers for further volumes.

As it turned out, the meeting overran and I nearly missed my train! Good session though, but exhausting.

No, sorry! We both know it couldn't just be 5 minutes. I have a list of people (personal and professional) that I could and should meet who, unfortunately, I can't. Join the snub club!

Not even 5 minutes for coffee on the concourse at Waterloo?

Aye, I'm a geordie by birth - although I popped out in Corbridge - but you would never know it if you met me. I went to South Africa when I was 10 and lost the accent completely (self-preservation!). I came back to Newcastle in 2002 and people all assume I'm 'foreign' - the usual suspect is New Zealand, as I don't have a typical South African accent either.

Congratulations on your book! It's hard to get poetry into print. How are the sales going?

H'way the lads!

Hi Fiona, I'm at Waterloo about 4 times a week so I won't give up hope!

Hi Leslie. They're in Waterloo. But it's going to be a flying visit - off the train, in the meeting, back on the train - so unfortunately no time for coffee this time. Thanks for the offer though :)

Hi Fiona, if you're coming down this way, give me a shout and I will neet you for coffee and chat. Where are your publishers? In the City?
