- Something About Me and My Book:
The world of art and literature is a large one. The task of trying to separate yourself from the pack, and also gain an audience who follows and cares for what you create and what you felt when you created that gorgeous piece, is a difficult one. Writing and/or art is your passion and our passion. We are writers and artists with a passion for publishing and an unwavering faith in young artists. Collaboration is the solution. A few things about us: we are a collaborative art community, an independent publishing company andprovide support for young artists (writers, poets, photographers, and all other visual arts) ages 13 - 29.
We are working on publishing a series of Strong Truths books collaborating with multiple mediums to create a unique and desired product. We know you have poured yourself into your passion. Our main goal is to shine light on undiscovered youthful talent. In addition to the promotion of the arts, we shine a light on our message, of youth’s intelligence and the truths of the real world; our lives taken straight from the source, beyond the world of borders. An Introduction
Our purpose is to show the talent of youth’s expression; who they are to those who do not recognize their talent. Youths seem to go unnoticed, silenced because of their age and in our society, let’s face it youths are neglected, forgotten even. We are here to change that and in turn allow the growth of the Strong Truths Community and through this we aim to help youths feel that art can heal them, and yet be just as powerful to others.
Strong Truths is exactly the word, the strong brutal truths of life, however from youth’s points of view. It is the truths of what we see through our eyes, how we feel about life and the world around us. It is everything never said or spoken of or what others care or dare to know.
We believe in the unknown, a beauty yet to be captured, and to us that is a true art. It is hard to say what you truly feel or show who you are to those who are directly in front of you. What are the truths in all of us?
What's our specialty?
- Young adult writers age 13-29 (if you're 29+ please email us at strongtruths@ymail.com or visit strongtruthsuntold.wordpress.com.
- Poetry & prose (preferably non-fiction but we still consider fiction.)
- Literary fiction & non-fiction (short stories: fantasy, sci-fi etc.)
- Photography (preferably emotive, conceptual, expressive, abstract & surreal, macro)
- Other visual arts (digital, painting etc.)
