- Something About Me and My Book:
- I'm looking forward to retiring this summer, as I will be 62 years old. Currently, I work as the religion editor of a daily newspaper in northeast Tennessee.
In connection with my job, I write a weekly column called Rays of Light. I use the short story format to address various topics. I utilize Bible characters, seasonal characters and characters that I create.
I write a similar column for the Piney-Bluff Gazette, a weekly newspaper in this area.
I write a third column, similar to the first two, that I syndicate to newspapers, Web sites, e-zines, etc. The Rays of Son column is free to the publications which use it.
Earlier this year, I began writing a book about a mouse who ran for his town council and eventually Congress. I haven't worked on the book in several weeks. I hope to begin working on it again soon.
I enjoy preaching, presenting puppet programs in churches and other opportunities to speak and interact with people.
