Author Josette LaPrade Miles currently resides in Stone Mountain, Georgia. She is the divorced mother of her two beautiful heartstrings, Brittany Lynnea and William Franklin Henderson; III. Josette is a lifetime educator. She is a High School teacher and Exceptional Education Case Manager. She spends her free time writing and volunteering with various organizations in her community. She prides herself on being an inspiration to others through her poetically driven writings and experiences.

“From Scorned to Survival” is a book of true memories as told by Author Josette L. Miles, MEd, poetically known as “Jola” in her books. The author speaks to the readers from a personal standpoint. She delivers her story from the beginning of her life as an abused child and continues on through her adversities as an adult. Through her poetic memoirs, Ms. Miles hopes to appeal to the sensitive, charismatic reader. Everyone who reads this book will be able to relate on many diverse levels.
