Amazon Best Seller Campaigns

I'm wondering if anyone out there has attempted such a campaign and, if so, what were the results. I'm also wondering, since numerous Net sites sell info on how to do this, if anyone now trying it on a given day would be up against a number of similar campaigners.

I've published half a dozen short stories in small press mags and won first prize in a couple of fiction comps. I've just finished my first novel and given it to an agent who has been very helpful and encouraging throughout its writing. If she places it I'll definitely be talking more about it on this site. In the meantime I'm ordering your book from Amazon. Thanks for creating a helpful and motivational site.
